Villa Charities Introduces "In Bocca," a New Culture and Culinary Series
First edition marks Holocaust Education Week with a presentation on the Italians of the Jewish Ghetto in Rome and their role in helping the Jewish people during WWII

Villa Charities is pleased to introduce "In Bocca," a new culture and culinary series that will be a regular feature at the Columbus Centre.
The series opens on the evening of Tuesday, November 8 with a presentation on the Italians of the Jewish Ghetto in Rome and their role in helping the Jewish people during WWII. This special event, featuring guest speaker Emanuele Sica, History Professor at Royal Military College and an Italian scholar, is presented in honour of Holocaust Education Week.
In addition, Canadian artist Bina Cole will speak about her new exhibition, "Out of Order / Beyond Order," which opens at the Carrier Gallery on November 9 and continues to December 5. This powerful exhibit illustrates how external influences including world events disrupt our order, and how the family offers a counterweight to those disruptions.
Guests will enjoy a delectable prix-fixe Roman Jewish-themed dinner.

About the Nokmee Exhibit
In 1988, Toronto alumni of the Department of Fine Arts at South Korea's Ewha Woman's University (Nokmee) formed an active collective. This is the group's second annual exhibition in Toronto. Many of its members are individually active as well.
The Nokmee has been holding group exhibitions annually since 1945, as are other Nokmee groups in New York, Washington, and Los Angeles.
The exhibition at Carrier Gallery features paintings, sculptures and ceramics by 14 of the group's members.
